National Water Research Center ranking in the international Classifications

In an unprecedented event, the National Water Research Center (NWRC), of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Egypt, has recently accomplished a pioneering international achievement by competing among the other research institutes at the Research Institutes Ranking, where the NWRC has achieved the 5th rank among 35 ranks locally in the field of Earth and Planets Science. It’s worth mentioning that the Research Institutes Ranking is an initiative launched by SCImago Lab, the world's leading editor of academic rankings, in partnership with Elsevier, the world's largest provider of scientific information. This initiative aimed to launch the first Ranking of SCImago for research centres in the Middle East and North Africa region. The SCImago Journal & Country Rank is a publicly available portal that includes the journals and country scientific indicators developed from the information contained in the Scopus® database (Elsevier B.V.). It's also noteworthy that the International Classification Committee of the NWRC has made notable efforts since its establishment in back in 2021 with the aim of increasing the NWRC’s ranking at the national, regional and international levels.
